Hey guys!!
Wanted to share a really cool exhibit for a local pet portrait artist in San Francisco.
Check out her exhibit called “Obedience School Portraits” -At Grove Salon in San Francisco.
The Exhibit is from November 15th, 2015- February 13th, 2016
We love to support local artists & local organizations, so when we found out about this artist, we had to share.
She recently painted one of our affiliates fur baby and it came out awesome!
This awesome portrait was painted of the super sweet deaf Boxer Semi (@slightlysemi) by the very talented Julie Pfirsch (@paintmyfaceoff).
“Meet the Artist….
When Julie Pfirsch was 5 years old and asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, she replied she wanted to be a dog. She has since re-evaluated her life goals and decided to paint dogs instead, finding her niche as a pet portrait artist.
Julie studied Fine Art at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio where she earned a BFA with an emphasis in oil painting. She began her career in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, showing her art in various galleries and cafes. Julie now lives in San Francisco with her husband, Josh, and their dog, Mosby."
Pictured is Julie Pfirsch and her adorable Mosby.
If you are in San Fran, stop by and support your local pet artist! :)
